Quarantined Karaoke Thursday:) Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You

22 May

“If you’ve got nothing to dance about, find a reason to sing.”

― Melody Carstairs

Another Thursday with NO karaoke at Delaney’s, NO singing with friends, NO dancing. But, I’m still singing, and I’m still dancing in the kitchen. It will take more than a stinkin’ ol’ worldwide catastrophic pandemic to stop me.

My glitzy Pop Solo Karaoke Microphone that Jerry gave me for my birthday was all charged up and ready to go.

Every Thursday, Bob treats us to an official karaoke song on Facebook. Thanks Bob and Joni.

Bob Goen singing, “Some Gave All.”

Happy Thursday, my friends.

Quarantined Karaoke Thursday:) “I’m Not Leaving On A Jet Plane”

8 May

“And I realized that there’s a big difference between deciding to leave and knowing where to go.”

― Robyn Schneider

It was a beautiful sunny warm day, but this evening the clouds rolled in and the storm is on its way. It’s Thursday again, and I’m missing my good friends, I’m missing karaoke and dancing, and I’m missing my unconditional freedom that I so much took for granted.

So I’ll sing alone, and I’ll sing off key, and I’ll make up my own words. But, that’s ok. Someday, I’ll be able to go out and embarrass myself in public again. Can’t wait. 🎤

Our good friend and awesome singer, Bob Goen, singing “Smoke Gets in Our Eyes.” Thanks for sharing Joni.

And… a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dear friend Doug Enck. I hope it was an awesome day, and many, many more to come.
