Montage Monday:) A Week In A Really Slow Peek

18 May

“If my days and weeks went by any slower, I’d be in a coma. Just sayin’.”

~ Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

This week was even slower and more uneventful than the previous one. Saturday was so gloomy and rainy, that I never did get out of my pajamas or leave the house, nor move far from the sofa and remote control, for that matter. Crazy!

Here’s a week in a a really slow peek…

Montage Monday:) A Week in a Lazy Peek

“You gotta know when to be lazy. Done correctly, it’s an art form that benefits everyone.”

― Nicholas Sparks

Happy Monday, my friends. Here we go again……🤦‍♀️

Here’s my week in a lazy peek.

(Now, to warm up some of my leftover Mother’s Day Rosati’s Chicago Pizza.🍕

Montage Monday:) A Week in a Quarantined Peek

4 May

“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

My days are melting into one big blob of melted marshmallow mushy memories. How do you like that for alliteration? It’s not like I feel that I have no purpose, it’s just I can’t remember what purpose that was. Hmm?

I started writing this post, and I was researching some great quotes, like the one above, when I got distracted on my Google page with headlines. So, like a dog distracted by a squirrel, I started looking at nonsense news headlines, and how to take inches off your waistline by drinking this every morning. (You know what I’m talking about, don’t you?) Then, I told myself to step away. Maybe go upstairs and work on my endless task of organizing my “crap room.” So, I turned off my iPad and started to get my lazy butt off the couch when I remembered… “Oh yah! I was looking up quotes so I could post my Montage Monday blog for today.” I had forgotten what I was doing. Mush… I tell you! My brain is turning to mush!

So, here’s a week in a melted marshmallow mushy memories peek…

Before I forget again….

It’s also May 4th… SO… May the 4th Be With You! (And with your spirit… a little Catholic humor,)

“The only difference between my activity level now and being in a coma is… wait, not much difference. Never mind.”

~Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Well, that may be a humorous quote, but not far from the truth. If it wasn’t for my daily walks, FaceTime with friends and family, and a lot of television, I’d be in a coma. I’m finding it harder and harder to get motivated enough to get dressed every day. If it wasn’t for an evening walk, I’d stay in my pajamas all day. Do you think anyone would notice if I walked outside in my pajamas? I doubt it.

A week in a quarantined peek…

I did get a few more steps walking outside today than usual today.

Montage Monday:) A Week in a Positively Uneventful Peek

“If things got any slower around here, the hands on my clocks would start moving backwards. Just sayin’.”

~ Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Another week has flown by. Who am I kidding? I’m still sitting on the same spot on the sofa that I was sitting on last Monday… and I haven’t moved since. Just kidding, but almost. Just trying to stay healthy and ahead of the game. Thank goodness for technology to keep in touch with friends and family. I hope you are all doing well. Stay healthy and happy.

A week in a peek….

Montage Monday, Maria’s Zumba Gals y Mas

7 Apr

“With all this sheltering in place, social distancing, and isolation, I’m going crazy and starting to think in Spanish. No puedo hablar en español. Ay dios mío!”

~Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

I rolled out of bed this morning just in time to catch Maria’s Zumba Gals exercise class on Zoom. I thought it was going to be Zumba, my favorite. But NOOOO…. it was real exercise with weights and squats and very strenuous stuff. Yikes! But, I managed to get through it, and only tipped over once, and sat down twice.

Gracias Maria, pero todo duele ahora. (Everything hurts now.)

Now, for a week in a passive peek… thank goodness for technology or I’d be climbing the walls.

Happy Monday, my friends.

” If you think this week was boring, wait till next week.”

~ Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Today, I didn’t get out of my jammies till 4 in the afternoon. The sad part is, I really didn’t need to change because I didn’t go anywhere and no one came over. The mail is still out there in the mailbox. I was going to eat some lunch around 5 pm, but I got distracted calling family and friends. Then, I listened to a webinar on writing at 7 pm, talked to my son, and called two of my Tias that I haven’t talked to in years.

While we are going through all this mess, I think it’s a good time to call friends and family that you haven’t talked to in a while, and just say, “I love you.”

Well, it’s after 10 pm, I still haven’t eaten all day except for a few handfuls of mixed nuts, (sounds like my autobiography- mixed nuts) and drank about ten cups of tea. I’m not sure if I’ll eat something or just have a glass of wine, watch tv, and forget food. The latter sounds better.

Here’s my week in a peek… next week will be even more exciting…NOT!

Another week…another peek.

Have a good week, my friends. Stay safe and go wash your hands!
