Montage Monday:) A Week on a Peek

” If we get any more rain, I’ll have to take a canoe to get down to the mailbox.”

A super soggy week here in McKinney. We got nearly 3 inches of rain just today. Wet and gloomy. The good news is I’ve been doing a little painting and housework. I was going to make some soup or chili because not only is it rainy, it got cold.

How cold is it, Miss Toni? It is so cold that I had to turn the heat on for the first time this season. The house got down to 65 degrees. Yikes! I’m comfortable around 80.

Well, I guess it beats shoveling snow…or does it? Here’s a week in a Peek…….

Monday is always the beginning of a new week, with new challenges, but for me it is the day to reminisce all the events of the week before. Walks and talks, friends and family, Church and children, art and artist, and always counting my blessings.

” You know what’s so nice about Monday? Yah! I can’t think of anything either.”

~Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Actually, I do like my Mondays. It’s a new day in a new week. A day to start all over and try to get it right this time. The last couple of months, I’ve been going over to the Senior Center in McKinney. They have a country dance every Monday afternoon at 1 pm, and I’ve made a few new friends, have met some nice people, but more importantly… I get to dance. I love to dance. Country was never my thing, and I get all discombobulated with the intricate line dancing steps, but I’m learning some steps, some songs, and some music that I’ve never heard of. Plus, I haven’t seriously injured any brave souls who have asked me to dance. That’s gotta count for something.

“When you start to do the things that you truly love, it wouldn’t matter whether it is Monday or Friday; you would be so excited to wake up each morning to work on your passions.”

― Edmond Mbiaka

Aren’t those a wonderful quotes? Love what you do and do what you love every day. Start each day counting your blessings and you will be blessed every day.

My days are always blessed. AND! Today we got some well deserved and appreciated rain here in north Texas. I gleefully walked in the rain, occasionally opening my umbrella when the drops were too heavy.

Many people were off from work for Labor Day. It was a good day.

A week in a peek. Friends, family, new friends, old friends, artists, gardens, tall buildings, and my beautiful grand-baby.

“I’ve learned that all a person has in life is family and friends. If you lose those, you have nothing, so friends are to be treasured more than anything else in the world.”

Trey Parker And Matt Stone

A week in a peek… Friends, firemen, food, artists, baking, celebrating, museums and appreciating life…

“Writers are nosy people; we are endlessly curious: we ask questions when we shouldn’t – we peek around corners when we are least expected.”

~Ann Turner

Another wild and whacky week with friends, food, and really cute firemen, of course. Then, lots of baking, walking in the rain, lunches, karaoke, writing, art, and “Murder She Wrote Marathons.” Life is good. Goofy, but good.
