Montage Monday:) A Week in a Peek

24 Mar

” If you think this week was boring, wait till next week.”

~ Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Today, I didn’t get out of my jammies till 4 in the afternoon. The sad part is, I really didn’t need to change because I didn’t go anywhere and no one came over. The mail is still out there in the mailbox. I was going to eat some lunch around 5 pm, but I got distracted calling family and friends. Then, I listened to a webinar on writing at 7 pm, talked to my son, and called two of my Tias that I haven’t talked to in years.

While we are going through all this mess, I think it’s a good time to call friends and family that you haven’t talked to in a while, and just say, “I love you.”

Well, it’s after 10 pm, I still haven’t eaten all day except for a few handfuls of mixed nuts, (sounds like my autobiography- mixed nuts) and drank about ten cups of tea. I’m not sure if I’ll eat something or just have a glass of wine, watch tv, and forget food. The latter sounds better.

Here’s my week in a peek… next week will be even more exciting…NOT!

Another week…another peek.

Have a good week, my friends. Stay safe and go wash your hands!

“Blessed are the hearts that can bend; they shall never be broken.”

My weeks are always so beautiful and busy. I have a feeling that with this crazy world being on lock down, I’m not going to have a lot of fabulous adventures. But, who knows, I may actually get something productive done around the house.

Be safe, my friends!

Montage Monday and Miles to go Before I Sleep

3 Mar

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.”

~ Robert Frost

Its been a busy fun week. Today was the first day that I really did any walking, besides taking the dog around the pond a few times. So, I was pleasantly surprised that I put in more than 10,000 steps today, although quite a few of those steps were from the dance this afternoon. Yep, a fun week.

A week in a peek…. birthday parties, dinners, art shows, lunches, painting, church, karaoke, dancing and singing, and more.

I put in a few steps today…

The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.

Albert Einstein

Ah, to remain children all our lives, now that’s an activity we should all pursue, if only in our hearts.

Another great week…

Montage Monday and Another Magnificent Sunset

“A loving heart is a magical magnet for magnificence.”

― Debasish Mridha

I can honestly say that I wake up EVERY morning and greet the day with gratitude. “Thank you for your blessings.” That’s my morning prayer, my waking thoughts, my mantra for the day. Sometimes it is followed by, “Holy crap! I forgot to set my alarm,” or “What a glorious day, I think I’ll roll over and go back to sleep.” But, every day is a good day, some “gooder” than others.

Today, I went to the country dance at the senior center, and had lots of fun. It was our chili cook-off lunch, and there was SO much good food. Afterwards, a few of us stopped for an iced tea at Whataburger. I ended up chatting and laughing and gossiping with some friends for almost three hours. Fun! Then, home to walk the dog again. On my drive home, the sky was so gorgeous. I kept hoping for a red light so I could take a picture, and the only red light ended up with all kinds of telephone poles and streetlights and buildings, blocking the view. So, I hurried home and drove down the street where there was a somewhat unobstructed view. Unfortunately, the original massive expanse of blues and grays mingled with golden hues had mostly disappeared, but I caught the grand finale. It was pretty darn awesome.

A week in a peek, and another magnificent sunset.

My blessings are many

And my troubles are few.

And you would be smiling

If you knew what I knew.

There is no big secret

There’s no fountain of youth.

Simply love who you are

And let that be your truth.

~Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Another great week, my friends. How blessed am I!

“Most people dread Mondays because it means back to work or the tedious tasks for the week. On Monday, I like to reflect on the marvelous week that has passed and look forward to the wonderful week ahead.”
