Montage Monday:) A Week In A Peek

“If my week could talk, it would say, ‘Oh yah. That’s what I’m talkin’ about.’ ”

~Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Wow! A great week. Lunches with friends, cooking, baking, sharing, beautiful sunshiny walks, and my traditional Black Russian Friday. There was a wonderful visit with my senior artist friends at Towne Creek. I found a new adorable lunch place, Bluebird Cottage and Cafe. I didn’t have to wait at all to early vote on Saturday, then went to an amazing concert by the U.S. Air Force Band. I got to FaceTime with my adorable granddaughter. There was a wonderful phone conversation with my son in California. It was a full lovely week, filled with more blessings than I can count.

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”

~Michael Althsuler

A good week with friends, food, people, painting, picnics, and FaceTime with my beautiful granddaughter. Time does fly, but I’ve got my pilot’s license, (Not really, that’s part of the play on words,)

“Mondays are not for the faint of heart, so start the day with a deep breath and a big smile. Or go back to bed.”

~Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

We’ve gone from a severe drought to…I’m fixin’ to build the ark in the back yard and gather the animals two by two. Lots of rain every day.

More fun, food and friends this week. I’ve been walking pretty much every day, but an umbrella has been my constant companion. I’m not complaining…well, maybe a little, but the rain has been a welcome gift, but, enough is enough.

You know that song, “Rainy days and Monday’s always get me down?” Not me. I love rainy days and Mondays.

“Life is like a basketball team. It takes a lot of practice, coaching, teamwork, and sometimes sweat and suffering. You just have to keep dribbling down the court and keep aiming for the basket.”

~ Toni Armenta Andrukaitis (I coached 7th grade girl’s basketball once upon a time.)

Unity is strength… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.”

Every Monday, when I look back at my week’s worth of photos, it’s like reliving each day and smiling at the wonderful events and people that have blessed my life. I put together a little montage, using a dozen or so of my favorite pictures and quotes. That’s a tough task. I usually take a zillion pictures every week. Well, maybe not a zillion, but maybe a million or two. Ha!

This week, I did a lot of baking, visiting with friends, a few lunches, a couple of dinners, a few margaritas, visiting cute firemen, dancing at the senior center, singing at the VFW, painting, well, the list goes on.

This is my life…isn’t it grand?

” It only takes a moment to peek into someone’s world. A few words or a few pictures can tell a long story.”

~ Toni Armenta Andrukaitis

Another week of lucky pennies, crazy good Chicago pizza and Mexican food, beautiful sunsets, friends, family, and faith. What more could you ask for? Counting my blessings!

“Never be so busy as not to think of others.” ― Mother Teresa

Another wonderful week.  But, then again, when isn’t it wonderful? Well, maybe those wasted 3 1/2 hours sitting at the Social Security Office. A birthday party for a friend, painting, a free concert, won a fabulous raffle prize, karaoke every Thursday, went to court just for fun, friends, and family. That’s what it’s all about.

“You can find poetry in your everyday life, your memory, in what people say on the bus, in the news, or just what’s in your heart. ”

~Carol Ann Duffy

Another great week. Time with friends, beautiful sunsets, Baby Belle pictures, and my amazing CRHP retreat at St. Gabriel’s this weekend. A fine fun-filled week with a side order of soul searching.

A week in a peek.
