Tuesday:) Toni’s Terrific Generous Friends

“Generosity is not having a lot and sharing a little, rather, it’s having a little and sharing a lot.”

I’ve said this a million times,”I have the sweetest, kindest, and most generous friends in the whole world.” Most of my friends are kind of in the same boat that I’m in, and that’s great because I can’t swim and I’m afraid of water. So, if I’m going to be in a boat, what better people to be in a boat with? Metaphors aside, I find that my dearest friends are always ready to help others, and are very generous with their time and money, even when they don’t have an abundance of either.

This afternoon, Helene and I made plans to go over to Holy Family School to take over more goodies that she had picked up at the store for the children. She had boxes of cereal, canned goods, and fruit snacks. I had another bag to add to the trip. Because I’ve been posting pictures and stories about the wonderful non-profit school, many of my friends have been offering to make contributions. A little goes a long way. Thank you Helene.

This three year old boy was so excited when he saw the box of Spider-Man snacks that he couldn’t contain himself and wouldn’t let go of the box.

Then, Helene and I stopped for lunch, but only after we made a quick trip to the Dollar Store to pick up about 25 ceramic and glass bowls. We plan on using them for a couple of painting projects to benefit the upcoming Empty Bowls fundraiser in April which helps to feed the hungry of Collin County. My senior friends at Towne Creek love participating by painting dozens of bowls for the donation.

Here are just a few examples of bowls that my Towne Creek friends painted last year. I can’t wait to see what we come up with this year.

Yes, my friends are very kind, generous, and talented. I’m so glad that I get to share a boat with them.
