Friday:) From Here to There and My Firemen

“Sometimes I do so much in a day that I actually forget some of the things,”

**************************

A really busy Friday, pretty much self-inflicted. I walked over to pick up Bella early this morning, and we walked around the pond. A cup of tea, a few emails, Facebook, then off to Zumba gold at the Y. After the class, I rode the exercise bike for a couple of miles. Here’s the sad part…I got my heart rate up to over 105, pedaled like a maniac, and it said I burned 33 calories. What? That’s not even a cookie.

Speaking of cookies, I had a couple of containers of cookies that Miss Pat made for my firemen. I stopped with one container at Station 5, but nobody answered, so both went to Station 9.

Since I was so close to St. Gabriel, I stopped in for Adoration and to light a candle, again. Two days in a row. Wow! My prayers will be twice as powerful.

It was such a beautiful day, I didn’t feel like going home, so I called Mr. Jerry who lives close to church. He was home and said to come on over. We visited a while, before he needed to run off. We always laugh and share silly stories. I have the greatest friends.

On my way home, I stopped at Kroger to pick up some sale items for my friends over at Holy Family School. They had Post cereal, peanut butter and gummy snack packs on sale. I stock up on the sales when I see something they can use, and then drop the goodies off every couple of weeks.

Another walk around the pond with Bella. Such a beautiful sky. Too early for the colorful sunset, but the clouds were beautiful.

Well, my day wasn’t done. Today was the first Friday night dance over at the senior center. The Danny Romo band was playing and Sid, a friend from karaoke, was meeting me there. It was fun. We did a lot of dancing. When I got home, I checked my phone to see how many steps I took today, between my little walks with the dog, and the dance, 13,111 steps. Lots of steps.

Bella was happy to see me when I got home. We went out back and then had a snack. Well, she did. I made my famous Black Russian and put my tired feet up. Now, I’m writing this post and reflecting on my really awesome day. I have such a blessed and wonderful life. When I go to church and adoration and light my candles, my prayers are always for family and friends. I’m already so blessed, I really don’t need to ask God for anything for myself. Well, maybe every now and then.

Happy Friday my friends….
