Sunday Sermon and Some Other Stuff

“Transformation literally means going beyond your form.”

~Wayne Dyer

*************

It was a drizzly morning, but it cleared up in the afternoon. I got to church in time to run to the side door to greet the ladies from the Chateau as they got off their bus. Big hugs were exchanged.

Today is Ascension Sunday, and a very meaningful service at church. The Gospel was about Jesus Ascending into heaven, telling his disciples that He would return in the same manner.

“Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up his hands, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.”

After Mass, Jerry, Helene and I stopped for coffee. Helene and I went over to the store afterwards. When we were walking back to our cars, I found a lucky dime in the road. While I was picking it up, Helene found one too, a few steps ahead. A lucky day for us both.

I had made plans to meet Zelda for lunch and see a movie. We decided on “Rocketman.” It was very good, not just on a music basis, but I also liked the timeline story of the transformation that took place in Elton John’s life. Some of the story was sad and destructive, but we found out why. Without having a spoiler alert, we saw how he turned his life around. Yep. Great music. Great story.

When I got home, there was time for a nice long walk before dark. And it’s always great to catch the sunset.

Happy Sunday, my friends.

I found a dime on the way home from church today. It surprised me as it was the 3rd one I’ve found in a week. One was in the laundry, one on the ground.Thought of you and your ma.Suppose God is saying”call me”?
