Saturday:) So How Cold Was It in Texas, Miss Toni?

21 Jan

“So when you’re cold

From the inside out

And don’t know what to do,

Remember love and friendship,

And warmth will come to you.”

Stephen Cosgrove

It finally warmed up a little today, but I still needed to cover my ears, wear a warm coat, and put on

gloves this morning. The sun came out later in the afternoon, just in time to warm up for Rachel and Mason’s wedding today. But, that’s a different story.

It was so cold last week that ponds were frozen, people had pipes freezing and bursting. Knock on wood, I didn’t run into any of those problems. This is Texas! What’s going on?

I had to laugh when I walked yesterday and passed by Miss Bernadine’s house two blocks over. She has a St. Francis statue in the front yard. It was so cold that poor St. Francis had a winter coat and hat on. I smiled, took a picture, and shivered my way down the street.

Keep warm, my friends!
